Jeff Bezos is a Hardcore Realist, Focusing on Process, not Failure, and being a smart Investor. Jeff is a realist he thinks and weighs all the possibilities and probabilities. Before launching Amazon in the world, Jeff had accepted the fact that the venture might fail and the investment would go down the drain. He has the habit of recognizing the adverse effects and taking the decision based on his assessment. He has experimented and has taken numerous risky decisions, and also that could include investing and takes chances on a company.

When seeing the internet rate grow he came up with the idea at first it was a book store and he invested in it, within its first month of launch Amazon sold books in every state in the U.S. and 45 countries around the world

Describe what challenges they had to overcome to be successful?
a toxic mindset one that reflects such basic, human, emotional needs that it’s hard to condemn people for it. Recognizing this, Bezos shared a technique to overcome it in the annual shareholder letter he released on April 17, 2017. Bezos wrote that he values making fast decisions, which often means deciding before you have all the information you’d like. He puts the sweet spot at acting when you have 70 percent of the needed information. The lack of information makes tough decisions even tougher, however, and that prompts the cascade of leadership challenges described above. To overcome them, Bezos introduced a simple linguistic trick that stops these toxic mindsets in their tracks and cuts off the metastasis of difficulties.
